Syed Jamal Shah is a Pakistani actor, painter, social worker, script writer, singer and a song writer hailing from Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan who has been a prolific artist whose abilities are acknowledged generally in Pakistan and globally. IAF’19 is being curated by Jamal Shah and he is also the President of IAF’19.

Amna Shah

VICE PRESIDENT

Amna Shah, Vice leader of IAF’19, is a prolific artist, educationist, and social worker living in Islamabad whose work has been exhibited broadly and has additionally curated numerous exhibitions. She has made major contributions to advance Art and Culture in Pakistan. She is currently the Director of Hunerkada.

Amna I Pataudi

VICE PRESIDENT

Amna Pataudi, Vice President of IAF ’19, is a prolific art-critic, writer, craftsman, educationalist, social worker. Being a Member Board of Governors Punjab Art Council, Amna has organized reviews, exchanges, and tributes to craftsmen. Amna is holding the office of Executive Director of Visual Arts Department in PNCA.

Dr. Tariq Banuri

Dr Tariq Banuri has broad experience in government, academia, civil society and the international system. He recently served as Director, Division for Sustainable Development, at the United Nations. And currently Dr. Banuri is serving as the Chairperson HEC (Higher Education Commission of Pakistan).

Dr. Vicky Clark

An independent American curator of contemporary art, art history & writer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has been engaged with numerous local artists. Some of her famous exhibitions include Invisible Threads: Common Ground, Recycling Art History, The White Show: Subtlety in the Age of Spectacle.

Prof. Bashir Ahmad

Miniature Maestro

A miniature maestro and a living legend. He founded the Mughal Miniature Painting Bachelor’s Degree Program, a first in the world, at the National College of Arts in 1982. His work has also been extensively exhibited, revered, and owned by private collectors all over Asia, Europe and America.

Dr. Ma Dong

Scholar/professor

A renowned & honorable Chinese Scholar Professor having research areas in film industry, choreography, clothing culture. He has worked relentlessly for the development of new media arts in China & mainly engaged in cultural exchanges between China & Pakistan.

Arjumand Faisal

A doctor by profession Dr. Arjumand is the owner and curator of Gallery 6 in Islamabad who has worked with USAID and WHO and is continuing to serve artists through his marketing acumen. Currently, he is serving as the chairman of Arjumand and Associates.

Prof. Ijaz ul Hassan

An outstanding artists and a leader of a group of painters who identify themselves with their surroundings and their work established a new trend in Pakistani Paintings. Has achieved worldwide acclaim & is recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance, Sitara-e-Imtiaz.

Lavinia Fillippi

An art historian and curator, Lavinia Filippi is currently a research curator for the Italian Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale, founder and co-director of Translocalia, curator of special projects and publications at Belmacz London, and associate curator of Volcano Extravaganza.

Akram Dost

painter/sculpor

A Pakistani painter and sculptor. His works are based on traditional themes receiving wide acclaim, both at home and abroad. Mr. Baloch received President’s Pride of Performance Award in 2004 for his contributions to the Pakistani visual arts. He is presently serving as the Chairman of the Institute of Fine Arts at University of Balochistan, Quetta.

Qudus Mirza

An artist, art educator, art critic, and independent curator. He is a professor of arts and the Head of Fine Arts Department at the National College of Arts Lahore. Mr. Mirza has exhibited widely in numerous group exhibitions, along with several solo exhibitions, held in Pakistan and the UK. He also curated a number of exhibitions in Pakistan, the UK, and India. 

Prof. Murtaza Jaffri

Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri is a painter, draftsman, sculptor, and an art-educator. Currently he is the Principal/Vice Chancellor of National College of Arts. He has supervised PhD candidates in leading universities of Pakistan and abroad. He has also served as Director at Pakistan National Council of the Arts, Islamabad from 1989 to 1990.

An architect by profession, Mr. Changezi has served as the Chairman at Institute of Architects, Pakistan-Karachi Chapter and is currently serving as a GM, Architecture & Planning Division, NESPAK, Karachi.

Faisal Arshad

A practicing architect & academician from Islamabad with 21 years of admirable services. He simultaneously practices consultancy, teaching & research, professional advocacy, & building product industry patronage. He is the recipient of IAP Recognition Award 2011.

Dr. Hina Tayyaba

The founder and Vice-Chancellor of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD). Ms. Tayyaba has contributed relentlessly to design education and has perpetually strived to meet new challenges by expanding PFID in the field of research through international collaborations.

Syed Iqbal Geoffrey

Trained as lawyer & famous as a visual artist for his exceptionally innovative and artful visual critiques. He has exhibited extensively in Pakistan and abroad. His works are held with private collectors and major museums in Europe and the USA, which earned him numerous awards.

Imran Qureshi

Imran Qureshi is a world famous Pakistani visual artist and art educator. His work constitutes a unique synthesis of traditional motifs and techniques with current issues and the formal language of contemporary abstract painting. He has exhibited his artwork in more than 15 countries.

Naeem Safi

Naeem Safi is a designer, writer, and art educator who is currently the academic head of Hunerkada. Apart from working with multiple national and international organizations, he also provides technical expertise and policy advisory on culture, arts, education, and creative economy to the government of Pakistan professional organizations.

Rashid Rana

A leading name among the younger generation of artists in the contemporary art scene of this region on the international map. Mr. Rana has an extensive list of exhibitions at the world’s most prestigious art venues, including Pakistan. He is founding member & dean of School of Visual Arts & Design, Beacon house National University, Lahore.

Saeed Kureshi, primarily a Marine Engineer who has held the rank of Rear Admiral in the Pakistan Navy and was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his meritorious services. Saeed Kureshi has made major contribution in the interior design and setup of the Pakistan Maritime Museum and the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore. 

Musicologist

Shahid Hamid

The maestro and musicologist Ustad Shahid Hamid is a renowned vocalist, instrumentalist, and a respected music teacher. He authored a book Raag Music in English and its Urdu version Raag Mousiqi. Also, he curated a book titled Music Chronicles. He is currently coaching classical music at the PACC and PNCA Karachi.
